Taking the helm of The Landing, a premier senior living community set to open in early 2022 in Alexandria’s Potomac Yard, Richard Ludlow, experienced in the senior living space, was recently appointed executive director. He will be responsible for overseeing operations and working to enhance the overall experience of residents to help them grow and thrive.

“As we near completion on this extraordinary senior living community, we are pleased to attract top talent to guide us through opening and to manage the day-to-day operations,” says Mike Hughes, managing director of operations for Watermark Retirement Communities. “We are seeing tremendous interest for our community—a true testament to the unmet demand for new senior living options in Alexandria.”

Before joining The Landing, Ludlow served as executive director for Genesis HealthCare. He also held several senior positions at assisted living and skilled nursing communities as well as rehabilitation centers in the Washington, D.C. area.
